The Substrato project is curated by Relatronica, an independent non-profit initiative for speculative design, civic tech, and knowledge mapping.
Data processed
As a rule we do not ask for accounts or personal details. We may process: IP address and technical hosting logs (for security and operation); local preferences on your device (for example if you have already closed the welcome message); messages you send us voluntarily (reports, press inquiries).
Cookies and local storage
We do not use profiling or advertising cookies. We may use the browser's localStorage to remember interface choices (e.g. closing the welcome modal). You can clear it from your browser settings.
Third parties
The map loads tiles and libraries from third-party services (for example basemap and CDN). Place search sends the query to OpenStreetMap Nominatim. Those providers may receive technical network requests (IP, user agent, search text) under their own notices. Links to external platforms (donations, social, GitHub) are under those services' control.
Purposes and legal bases
We process data to run the site, prevent abuse, respond to requests, and improve the public dataset. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating a non-profit information tool and, for messages you send us, pre-contractual measures / contact at your request.
Rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or objection where applicable, and lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, write to the privacy address listed on this page.
